AUSTIN CHILD CUSTODY
SERVICES dba William G. Austin, Ph.D.
Austin Child Custody Services provides a broad range of services to attorneys and courts concerning matters of child custody, parenting evaluation, and implementation of parenting plans. Evaluation, mediation/conflict resolution, and consultation services are offered. Dr. Austin specializes in issues involving relocation and domestic violence.
Evaluations: Child custody, parenting time, and parental responsibility evaluations are provided upon request and the implementation of an appropriate court order. These evaluations for the children and court are conducted in Colorado under both custody evaluation and special advocate statutes and in North Carolina. Evaluations in other states can be arranged depending on the laws of those states. In order to contract my services the attorney must sign an evaluation statement of understanding.
Mediation/Conflict Resolution: parenting dispute resolution services as a Parenting Coordinator are selectively provided via court order in Colorado and generally only if arbitration authority is part of the court order [C.R.S. § 14-10-128.5].
Attorney Consultation: Work product reviews; case and pre-trial consultation; expert testimony on reviews; general expert testimony on research and in hypothetical form. In order to contract my services to provide general testimony the attorney must sign a consultation statement of understanding-general testimony. In order for the attorney to contract my services for a work product review, the attorney must sign a work product review agreement.
Dr. Austin has published numerous professional articles on forensic approaches to conducting child custody evaluations. He is a recognized national expert on relocation and domestic violence as issues that arise in parenting disputes.
