Case Consultation for Colleagues in Custody Disputes

Dr. Austin offers consultation for colleagues who are conducting child custody and parental responsibility evaluations. Consultation is available for mental health professionals and guardian ad litem professionals. Consultation is typically sought on cases involving one or more of the complex issues where Dr. Austin’s forensic models can be applied to guide the data collection and analysis: relocation, intimate partner violence, and parental gatekeeping & alienation. The timing of the consultation will vary. It may occur in the beginning stage of the evaluation as the evaluator is trying to determine how to approach the issues. Or, it may occur after the information is collected and the forensic model is being applied for the purposes of analysis and making recommendations about a parenting plan. The hourly rate for consultation is negotiable.
